The 29th of September becomes a crucial date for Mexicans: Mexican Senate has recognized the right to water and sanitation for personal and domestic use respecting quantity, quality, accessibility and affordability. Moreover, the Constitutional modification in its 4th article, establishes the right to every person to have a safe environment for its development and well being.

The process has not ended, now it's the turn for state congress to integrate this modification in their legal frameworks and finally develop the public policies that will allocate budget for the correct implementation of this human right to water and sanitation. FANMex will certainly follow up this process and advocate for it locally.
