New CSO representatives elected to SWA Steering Committee


Civil Society now has three new representatives responsible for carrying our voices to the SWA Steering Committee, to help shape and guide the future of the partnership. So don’t hesitate to link up with them to share your valuable thoughts and contributions.

“Northern” countries (North America & Europe) CSO Representative: Thilo Panzerbieter 
Thilo is the founder and executive director of the German Toilet Organization (NGO) and is experienced in political lobbying and presenting the collective ideas of networks in a high-level environment. He has also been a steering committee member of End Water Poverty since 2011.
Africa CSO Representative: Baker Yiga
Baker Yiga is the current Executive Secretary of the African Civil Society Network on Water and Sanitation (ANEW). He has extensive experience of representing the voice of CSOs on high-level panels at international conferences and is a excellent networker with strong links with other regional bodies such as AMCOW and the African Union.
Asia CSO Representative: Dibalok Singha
Dr. Dibalok Singha is the Executive Director of the NGO Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK) in Bangladesh.  He is also an active member of Freswater Action Network South Asia (FANSA).    He pioneered the provision of sustainable piped water supply and communal sanitation in urban slums of Bangladesh and has written publications on community managed Water Sanitation projects.
These representatives have a unique opportunity to represent the views of all CSOs on one of the most important stages in the WASH sector.
